Proses pembangunan seringkali dikaitkan dengan proses industrialisasi. Proses industrialisasi dan pembangunan industri sebenarnya merupakan merupakan jalur kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat dalam arti tingkat hidup yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variabel upah, harga bahan baku, harga output dan nilai investasi terhadap tenaga kerja. Dalam penelitian ini  menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda untuk menghitung dan menganalisa seberapa besar pengaruh rata-rata upah pekerja, rata-rata harga bahan baku, rata-rata harga output dan nilai investasi terhadap permintaan tenaga kerja pada industri makanan di Kecamatan Baradatu Kabupaten Way Kanan. Dari hasil estimasi perhitungan diperoleh hasil bahwa variabel-variabel tersebut secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap permintaan tenaga kerja sebesar 85,21% dan sisanya sebesar 14,79% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian juga diperoleh hasil bahwa upah berpengaruh negatif tetapi tidak signifikan, harga bahan baku utama berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan, harga output berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Nilai investasi berpengaruh positif signifikan.

ANALYSIS OF THE DEMAND FOR LABOR IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY OF MICRO-SCALE (A CASE STUDY IN BARADATU REGENCY WAY KANAN)

The development process is often linked to the process of industrialization. The process of industrialization and industrial development is actually a line activities to increased people's well-being in the sense of a more better life. This research purpose to know  the variable of wages, prince of raw materials, prices and investment aims to know the variable of wages, prices of raw materials, output prices and investment value for employment. In this research is using multiple linear regression analysis to calculate and analyze how big the influence of an average worker's wage, average raw material prices, the average price of output and investment value of labor demand in the food industry in Baradatu Regency Way Kanan District. From the results of calculation estimation obtained the results that these variables are jointly contributing to the demand for labor is equal to 85,21% and the remain of 14,79% influenced by variables other than research. From the results of the study are also accrued.
