The research was quantitative research which used one group pre test- post test design. The population of this research was the students of SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung academic year 2017/2018. The sample of this research was XI MIA 8 which consisted of 30 students. The research was conducted from January 19th to February 23rd2018. The instrument was reading test. The result of this research showed that there was a significant improvement of students’ reading comprehension after being taught through Think Pair Share technique. It could be seen from the result of the test which showed that a significant level of p < 0.05 (p=.000), in which the students’ mean score in pre test was 64.5667 increase to 89.0667 in post test with 24.5000 of gain. The data were analyzed by using t-test in which the significance was determined by p<0.05. It is found that Think Pair Share technique can improve students’ reading comprehension achievement. It seems that Think Pair Share improves the students’ reading ability in reading text. Keywords : Think Pair Share technique, reading comprehension, analytical exposition text.
