Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adanya pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas IV dan adanya perbedaan diterapkannya model pembelajaran problem based learning di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kata kunci : Berpikir kritis ,problem based learning ABSTRACT The problem of this research is still the low ability of critical thinking learners in SD Negeri 1 Pringsewu south. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of learning model problem based learning to critical thinking skills pesera students in class IV SD Negeri 1 Pringsewu south. The method used in this research is quasi experiment method with nonequivalent control group design. This research uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use observation, tests and documentation. The result of this research is the influence of the use of problem based learning model to the critical thinking ability of students of class IV and the difference of applied learning problem based learning model in experiment and control class.
