%A 1413053022 Azkia Febri Al Husna %T HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS TINGGI SD NEGERI 6 METRO UTARA %X Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas tinggi SD Negeri 6 Metro Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan signifikan dan positif kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar, motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar, dan kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas tinggi SD Negeri 6 Metro Utara. Jenis penelitian yaitu ex-postfacto korelasi. Populasi berjumlah 204 siswa dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 71 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara, kuesioner (angket), dan studi dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket dengan skala Likert, yang sebelumnya diuji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment dan multiple correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan dan positif kecerdasan emosional dengan prestasi belajar IPS, motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS, dan kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan prestasi belajar IPS. Kata kunci: kecerdasan emosional, motivasi, prestasi belajar. abstract The problem in this research is the low learning achievement IPS of high grade students of SD Negeri 6 Metro Utara. The purpose of this research were to knowing the significant and positive relationships emotional intelligence with learning achievement, learning motivation with learning achievement, and emotional intelligence and learning motivation together with learning achievement IPS of high grade students of SD Negeri 6 Metro Utara. The type of reseach was ex-postfacto correlation. The population were 204 students and research sample were 71 students. The techniques of data collections were observation, interview, questionnaires and documentation studies. The instruments of data collections were questionnaires with Likert scale, which was previously tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis were product moment correlation and multiple correlation. The results showed there was a significant and positive relationships emotional intelligence with IPS learning achievement, learning motivation with IPS learning achievement, and emotional intelligence and learning motivation together with IPS learning achievement.
