The high frequency  of STH infection transmission depends on the contamination of soil with feces containing  worm eggs. Workers who were in direct contact with the land of agricultural sector were  at higher risk of STH infection. The high risk of STH infection in farmers due to low  awareness of farmers about personal hygiene and the importance of using of personal  protective equipment (PPE) for self-protection.  Method : This research use cross sectional approach. The samples were 55 farmers in  Pinang Jaya Village with consecutive sampling method. Data collection was conducted  by questionnaires about personal hygiene and use of PPE and feses examination using  floating method for identification of STH infection. The results of this study were  processed using software and analysis with Chi Square test.  Result : Results of the research found 47% of farmers infected with STH type worm eggs  22.7% A.lumbricoides, 59.1% hookworm, and 18.2% both of. Most of personal hygiene  of farmers is good (63.6%) and most farmers use incomplete PPE (69.1%). The analysis  show that there is a relation between personal hygiene with STH infection incidence  (p=0,002) and there is a relation between usage of PPE with STH infection incidence  (p=0.01).  Conclusion : There is a relation between personal hygiene and using of personal  protective equipment with the incidence of STH infection on farmers in Pinang Jaya  Village, Kemiling, Bandar Lampung. Tingginya frekuensi penularan infeksi STH bergantung dengan tercemarnya tanah dengan  feses yang mengandung telur cacing. Pekerja yang berkontak langsung dengan tanah  yaitu sektor pertanian resiko terinfeksi STH lebih tinggi. Tingginya resiko terinfeksi STH  pada petani akibat rendahnya kesadaran petani tentang personal hygiene serta pentingnya  pemakaian alat pelindung diri (APD) untuk proteksi diri.  Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian  adalah 55 petani di Desa Pinang Jaya dengan metode consecutive sampling.  Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner mengenai personal hygiene dan  pemakaian APD serta pemeriksaan feses menggunakan metode apung untuk identifikasi  indeksi STH. Hasil dari penelitian ini diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak dengan  analisis data menggunakan Chi Square (α=5%).  Hasil : Hasil penelitian ditemukan 47% petani terinfeksi STH dengan jenis telur cacing  22,7% A.lumbricoides, 59,1% cacing tambang, dan 18,2 % terinfeksi keduanya.  Sebagian besar personal hygiene petani baik (63,6%) dan sebagian besar petani  memakai alat pelindung diri secara tidak lengkap (69,1%). Hasil analisis  menunjukkan ada hubungan antara personal hygiene dengan kejadian infeksi STH  (p=0,002) dan terdapat hubungan antara pemakaian alat pelindung diri dengan kejadian  infeksi STH (p=0,01).  Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan antara personal hygiene dan pemakaian alat pelindung  diri dengan kejadian infeksi STH (soil transmitted helminth) pada petani di Desa Pinang  Jaya, Kemiling, Bandar Lampung.
