abstract: Penggunaan bahasa daerah Lampung lebih dominan digunakan oleh usia lanjut,
sedangkan generasi muda dan anak-anak akan cenderung beralih ke bahasa Indonesia.
Hal itu berbeda dengan wilayah sekitar Kecamatan Rajabasa Kabupaten Lampung
Selatan, yang mana hampir semua masyarakatnya masih memegang teguh penggunaan
bahasa Lampung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, menjelaskan dan
menganalisis tentang proses adaptasi penggunaan bahasa Lampung pada keluarga etnik
Lampung dalam kaitannya dengan pewarisan bahasa Lampung kepada generasi penerus.
Tipe penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Pemilihan informan
dalam penelitian ini teknik purposif. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebelas (11)
orang. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu proses adaptasi pewarisan bahasa Lampung berhenti
pada tahap Konvergensi.

abstract

The use of local Lampungnese is more dominant used by elderly people, while the
younger generation and children will tend to switch to the Indonesian language. It is
different from the area around the District of Rajabasa, South Lampung Regency, where
almost all the people still strongly using Lampungnese. The purpose of this study is to
understand, explain and analyze the process of adaptation of the use of Lampungnese in
Lampung ethnic families in relation to the inheritance of Lampung’s language to the next
generation. The type of the research is descriptive. The informants were selected used
purposive technique. Informants in this study amounted to eleven (11) people. The results
of this study show that the process of inheritance the Lampungnese stops at the
Convergence stage.
