DAN PRODUKTIVITAS USAHATANI PADI SAWAH
(Kasus Petani Padi di Kecamatan Kalirejo Kabupaten Lampung Tengah)
%X Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis: 1) kinerja penyuluh pertanian
lapangan (PPL), 2) faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kinerja PPL, 3)
hubungan antara kinerja PPL dengan produktivitas padi, dan 4) hubungan antara
produktivitas padi dengan pendapatan usahatani padi di Kecamatan Kalirejo
Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei pada
usahatani padi di Kecamatan Kalirejo. Waktu pengambilan data dilakukan pada
Bulan Oktober 2017. Responden yang diteliti berjumlah 53 orang, terdiri dari 8
PPL dan 45 petani binaan yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling.
Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, tabulasi, dan
korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kinerja PPL
di BPP Kalirejo termasuk dalam klasifikasi tinggi. Kompetensi, lingkungan kerja,
motivasi dan kepemimpinan PPL berhubungan dengan kinerja PPL dan kinerja
PPL berhubungan dengan produktivitas padi, namun produktivitas padi tidak
berhubungan dengan pendapatan usahatani padi karena meskipun produktivitas
padi meningkat tetapi pendapatan petani padi termasuk dalam klasifikasi rendah.
Rendahnya pendapatan petani padi disebabkan oleh harga jual padi masih rendah.

ABSTRACT

The objectives of this study were to analyze: 1) the performance of agricultural
extension agents (PPL), 2) factors related to PPL performance, 3) the
relationship between PPL performance and productivity of the rice, and 4) the
relationship between the productivity and paddy rice income in Kalirejo. This
study uses a survey method on rice farming in Kalirejo, Central Lampung. The
data collection time was taken in Oktober 2017. The study interviewed 53
respondents which consist of 8 PPLs and 45 rice farmer using purposive sampling
method. The data analysis methods used are qualitative-descriptive analysis,
tabulation and Rank Spearman correlation. The result shows that the
performance of PPL in BPP Kalirejo is considered high. The competence, work
environment, motivation and leadership PPL are related to the performance of
PPL. The performance of PPL is related to the productivity of the rice, however
the productivity is not related to the income of rice farming. Although the
productivity of the rice is increasing, income of the rice farmer is considered low
due to low price of rice.
