N2  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang karakteristik sosial ekonomi pekerja batu lapis bukit widoro payung di Pekon Gemahripah Kelurahan Gemahripah Kecamatan Pagelaran Kabupaten Pringsewu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah  populasi yaitu 60 orang dan sampel 30 orang dengan random sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tabel persentase frekuensi.

             Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1. Sebanyak 96,67% usia pekerja tergolong pada usia produktif dan hanya  3,33% yang tidak berusia prokduktif. 2.Sebanyak 50% pendidikan pekerja batu tergolong rendah yaitu pendidikan
dasar. 3.sebanyak 35,71%. Memiliki tanggungan keluarga yang besar.4 sebanyak 73,33% lama kerja pekerja tergolong tinggi yaitu 7- 8 jam setiap hari.5.sebanyak 80 % pendapatan pekerja tergolong rendah. 6. sebanyak 63,33% tingkat pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok terpenuhi yaitu ?Rp. 384.270

    The purpose of this research for reviewing the characteristic of social economic
labours layer stone of widoro payung hill in gemahripah village in the gemahripah sub district pagelaran district in pringsewu. This research used descriptive research method with a population of 60 people and a sample of 30 people with random sampling. Data analysis used in this research is technique of frequency percentage table.

        The results of this study showed that 1. A total of 96.67% labours age belong to the productive age and only 3.33% are not procinductive. 2.As many as 50% of
education labours of rocks are low, namely education basic. 3.As many 35.71%. Has a large family dependent.4 as much as 73.33% labours working days are high8 hours per day.5.as 80% of  labours  income is low. 6. as many as 63.33% the level of fulfillment of basic needs are met ie ? Rp Rp. 384.270
