Berdasar pada hal itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini ialahmendeskripsikan pengembangan, kelayakan, dan keefektivitas-anmedia webtoonyang akan digunakan pada pembelajaran menulis drama dikelas VIII.Rancanganyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Prosedurnya mengadaptasi tujuh dari sepuluh langkah prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan pada tigasekolah di Kota Metro,yaitu SMP N 1, SMP N 2, dan SMP N 5pada tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi, observasi, angket, dan wawancara.Hasilpada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa(1) pengembangan media pembelajaran menulis drama dengan webtoondiawali dengan studi pendahuluan, desain produk, uji validator, revisi produk pada uji validator, uji coba terbatas dan revisi produk, uji coba lebih luas dan revisi produk, serta pembuatan produk akhir yang memiliki karakteristik. (2) Hasil kelayakan media inimenunjukkan bahwa webtoon layak digunakanuntuk membantu guru dalam melakukan pembelajaran menulis drama di kelas VIII dengan nilai kelayakan dariahli materi sebesar 90\%, ahli komputer 92\%, praktisi 90\%, tiga guru padatigasekolahpenelitian80\%, dan 90 peserta didik dari tiga sekolah penelitian 92\%. (3) Hasil keefektivitasan media ini menunjukkan bahwa webtooncukup efektifdigunakan di dalam kelas dengan nilai keefektivitasan dari 90 peserta didik pada tiga sekolah penelitian sebesar 0,57. DEVELOPEMENT OF LEARNING MEDIA WRITING DRAMA WEBTOON-BASED IN CLASS VDI SMP Less precisely the selection of media used in the classroom is one of the problems that exist when learning. One of them is in writing drama learning in class VIII. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to describe the development, feasibility and effectiveness of the media webtoon that will be used in writing drama learning in class VIII. The design used in this research is development research. The procedure adapts seven of the ten steps of the research and development procedure according to Borg and Gall. The implementation of this research was carried out in three schools in Metro City, namely SMP N 1, SMP N 2, and SMP N 5 in the 2017/2018 school year. Data collection in this study was carried out with documentation, observation, questionnaire, and interview techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) the development of learning media to write drama with webtoon begins with a preliminary study, product design, validator test, product revision in the validator test, limited trials and product revisions, wider trials and product revisions, as well as making final product that has characteristics. (2) The results of the feasibility of this media indicate that the webtoon is suitable to be used to assist teachers in doing drama writing learning in class VIII with the feasibility of material experts at 90\%, computer experts 92\%, practitioners 90\%, three teachers at three research schools 80\% and 90 students from three research schools 92\%. (3) The results of the effectiveness of this media indicate that the webtoon is quite effective to be used in the classroom with the effectiveness value of 90 students in three research schools of 0.57.
