%X Pemilihan Peratin yang demokratis dalam proses pelaksanaannya harus menerapkan  azas serta nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam konsep demokrasi itu sendiri. Hal  tersebut juga merujuk pada peraturan serta undang-undang yang mengatur tentang  syarat serta pelaksanaannya. Namun berbeda halnya dengan pemilihan peratin pekon  labuhan tahun2016 ini, yang mana pengaruh serta peran dari tokoh adat yang  kemudian memunculkan Dominasi yang kuat dalam tahapan pemilihan peratin  tersebut.  Lokasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan cara yang sengaja  (purposive) yaitu pekon Labuhan Kecamatan Pulau Pisang Kabupaten Pesisir Barat.  Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dominasi  tokoh adat dalam kehidupan demokrasi pekon labuhan. Metode penelitian dalam  penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian studi kasus dengan menginterpretasikan data  kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam dengan  melakukan studi lapangan, studi kepustakaan dan studi dokumentasi.  Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa dominasi tokoh adat sangat besar dalam  proses pemilihan peratin pekon labuhan. Dominasi tersebut berbentuk intruksi,  arahan atau perintah langsung dari tokoh adat kepada masyarakat dalam menentukan  pilihan pada pemilihan peratin pekon labuhan sehingga menjadikan calon yang  diusung oleh tokoh adat tersebut berhasil memenangkan pemilihan peratin tersebut.  Kata Kunci: Dominasi, Tokoh Adat, Demokrasi    ABSTRACT  Democracy, one of its forms is reflected in the general election process or at the  village level, namely in the election of the village head. Basically the values  contained in Democracy as well as the freedom to make choices without coercion  from anyone must be put forward in practice. It also refers to the regulations and laws  governing the conditions and implementation. However, it is different from the 2016  port election election, which influences the role and role of traditional leaders which  then gives rise to strong dominance in the selection stage.  The purpose of this study was to find out how the forms of domination of traditional  figures in the selection of ports. The locations taken in this study were determined in  a purposive manner, namely the Labuhan pekon Pisang Island District, Pesisir Barat  Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study was to find out how the  domination of traditional leaders in the life of the pekon labuhan democracy. The  research method in this study is a case study research method by interpreting  qualitative data. Data collection techniques were carried out by in-depth interviews  by conducting field studies, literature studies and documentation studies.  The results of this study state that the dominance of traditional leaders is very large in  the process of selecting the port. The domination is in the form of instructions,  directives or direct orders from traditional leaders to the community in determining  the choice of peratin port selection so as to make the candidates carried by the  traditional leaders successfully win the election.
