abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mempelajari pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun binahong dalam air minum terhadap performa broiler; 2) menentukan pemberian ekstrak daun binahong dalam air minum yang optimal terhadap performa broiler.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 10 Juni--8 Juli 2014 di kandang ayam Jurusan Peternakan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Lampung.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan.  Masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam tiap petaknya.  Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah : 1) R0 : 0 mg ekstrak daun binahong/kg berat tubuh; 2) R1 : 100 mg ekstrak daun binahong/kg berat tubuh; 3) R2 : 150 mg ekstrak daun binahong /kg berat tubuh; 4) R3 : 200 mg ekstrak daun binahong/kg berat tubuh; 5) R4 : 250 mg ekstrak daun binahong/kg berat tubuh.  Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam pada taraf 5%.  

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun binahong dalam air minum berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi air minum, konsumsi ransum, pertambahan berat tubuh, konversi ransum, dan Income Over Feed Cost. 

















The purpose of this study were to 1) investigate the effects of heartleaf maderavine madevine  (Anredera cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) extract in water on performance of broiler 2) determine the optimal dose of heartleaf maderavine madevine leave extract in water on performance of broiler.  This reserarch were done in Poultry Nest, Animal Husbandy Department, Agriculture Faculty, Lampung University on 10th June--8 July th 2014.

This research use Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 treatments : 0 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract/kg bw, 100 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract/ kg bw, 150 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract/kg bw, 200 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract/kg bw, and 250 mg heartleaf maderavine madevine exract/kg bw and 4 replications.  The data was analized by varian analized.  Polynomal orthogonal test done if there is a real variable.  

Based on result showed that the treatments did not provide significant effect (P>0,05) on water intake, feed intake, daily gain, feed convertion, and Income Over Feed Cost.
