%X Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan problem posing terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest-only-control-group-design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah  seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Tunas Mekar Indonesia (TMI) Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam dua kelas. Sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan  pembelajaran problem posing lebih tinggi dari pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan problem posing berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.      This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of problem posing approach on the students’ mathematical communication skills. The design of this research was posttest-only-control-group-design. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of  junior high school of Tunas Mekar Indonesia (TMI) Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014 which was distributed into two class. The sampling which was used was total sampling. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, it obtained that the student’s mathematical communication skills by the problem posing learning was higher than conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded the problem posing approach affect on the students’ mathematical communication skills.
