N2  - This study aims to find out how the influence of gender inequality in the health
sector with Life Expectancy, education with Mean Years of Schooling and
employment with Labor Force Participation Rate and population growth as a
control variables on growth economics on the island of Sumatra by using two
research models, for men and women. The analytical method used in this study is
the Fixed Effect Model method. The data used is panel data with 50 observations
consisting of 10 provinces in Sumatra Island from 2013-2017.
The results of this study indicate that in Model 1 only Life Expectancy and
population growth have a significant influence on economic growth. On the other
hand, in Model 2 all variables have a significant influence on economic growth on
the island of Sumatra.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh ketimpangan
gender dalam bidang kesehatan dengan indikator Angka Harapan Hidup (AHH),
pendidikan dengan indikator Rata-Rata Lama Sekolah (RLS) dan ketenagakerjaan
dengan indikator Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja (TPAK) serta variabel
control pertumbuhan penduduk terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Pulau
Sumatera dengan menggunakan dua model penelitian yaitu untuk laki-laki dan
perempuan. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode
Fixed Effect Model. Data yang digunakan adalah data panel dengan 50 observasi
yang terdiri dari 10 provinsi di Pulau Sumatera dari tahun 2013-2017.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada Model 1 hanya AHH dan
pertumbuhan penduduk yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan
ekonomi. Disisi lain, pada Model 2 semua variabel memiliki pengaruh yang
signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Pulau Sumatera.
