abstract: Hutan kota mempunyai kemampuan dalam menjaga berlangsungnya fungsi
ekologi suatu kota. Kemampuan ini dapat dimanfaatkan dengan memperhatikan
ketersediaan luas lahan dan kejelasan status kepemilikan lahannya. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis status kepemilikan lahan hutan kota Bandar
Lampung; (2) mengetahui luas hutan kota Bandar Lampung dan persentase
penutupan tajuknya; (3) menganalisis langkah yang diperlukan dalam mempertahankan
keberadaan hutan kota di Bandar Lampung sebagai bentuk Ruang
Terbuka Hijau. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Oktober 2018 – November 2018
di hutan kota Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis
citra satelit, wawancara, observasi lapang, dan studi literatur. Hasil dalam
penelitian ini adalah status kepemilikan lahan hutan kota di Bandar Lampung
terdiri atas privat, publik, dan non-sertifikat. Luas hutan kota di Bandar Lampung
saat ini adalah 29,5 Ha dengan penutupan tajuk sebesar 28,37 Ha, atau setara
dengan 96%. Usaha untuk mempertahankan hutan kota di Bandar Lampung adalah dengan mengadakan penyediaan lahan sebagai hutan kota dan membentuk
kejelasan regulasi terkait hutan kota privat.

Urban forests have the ability to maintain the ecological functioning of a city.
This capability can be utilized by considering the availability of land area and the
clarity of land ownership status. The aims of this research were to (1) analyze
land ownership status of urban forest in Bandar Lampung city; (2) find out the
area of urban forest in Bandar Lampung city and the percentage by canopy cover;
(3) analyze the steps needed to maintain the existence of urban forests in Bandar
Lampung as a form of Green Open Space. This research was conducted in
October 2018 - November 2018 in the urban forest of Bandar Lampung city. The
method used is the method of satellite image analysis, interviews, field
observations, and literature studies. The results in this study were the ownership
status of urban forest in Bandar Lampung consisting of private, public, and noncertificate.
The current area of urban forest in Bandar Lampung is 29.5 ha with
canopy coverage of 28.37 ha, equivalent to 96%. It is suggested to maintain urban forests in Bandar Lampung city is by procuring land as urban forest and
clarifying the rules regarding private urban forest.
