N2  - Hutan Kota Metro merupakan bagian dari ruang terbuka hijau di Kota Metro yang
memiliki tiga fungsi yaitu fungsi lansekap, ekologi, dan estetika. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui lokasi, tipe dan tingkat kerusakan pohon di Hutan
Kota Metro serta, memberikan rekomendasi pengelolaan Hutan Kota Metro.
Metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data informasi kesehatan pohon di
Hutan Kota Metro yaitu melalui metode Forest Health Monitoring.Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi kerusakan pohon banyak terjadi pada kode
7 (cabang), sedangkan tipe kerusakan dominan yaitu kode 22 (cabang patah/mati)
dan untuk tingkat kerusakan terbanyak adalah 20%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian,
rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan untuk pohon yang memiliki status rusak yaitu
ditebang karena pohon sudah mengalami kerusakan tingkat lanjut dan beresiko
tumbang. Pohon yang memiliki status kerusakan sedang, sebaiknya dilakukan
perawatan (pemangkasan dan pengendalian hama penyakit) sehingga hutan kota
akan menjadi lebih nyaman dan aman untuk pengujung.

Metro Urban Forest is part of the green open space in Metro City, which has three
functions, namely landscape, ecological and aesthetic functions. This study was
aimed to determine the location, type and level of tree damage in the Metro Urban
Forest and to provide the recommendations for managing the Metro Urban Forest.
The method used to obtain tree health information data in the Metro Urban Forest
was Forest Health Monitoring method. The results showed that the location of
many tree damages occurred in code 7 (branch), while the type of damage was
code 22 (broken/dead branch) and for the damage rate was 20%. Based on the
results, the recommendations that can be given to trees that damaged were to be
cut down, because the trees had suffered further damage and at the risk of
collapse. Trees that had moderate damage status, should be controlled (pruning
and controlling pest disease) so that the urban forest able to be more comfortable
and safer.
