Namun probiotik umumnya tidak mampu bertahan hidup ketika melewati lambung dan saluran pencernaan. Dengan teknik mikrokapsul probiotik, diharapkan probiotik yang dicampur ke dalam pakan tidak rusak saat melewati saluran pencernaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari peningkatan pertumbuhan ikan kerapu macan yang diberi pakan mengandung mikrokapsul probiotik Bacillus sp. D2.2 dengan dosis berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pakan dicampur mikrokapsul probiotik dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan kerapu macan. Berikut hasil pengamatan tertinggi yaitu pertumbuhan berat mutlak (23,8 {$\pm$} 0,7) gram, laju pertumbuhan harian (1,35 {$\pm$} 0,04) \% per-hari, rasio konversi pakan (FCR) (1,3 {$\pm$} 0,1), kelangsungan hidup (83 {$\pm$} 2,9) \% dan kecernaan protein 90,56 \% Sedangkan nilai terendah yaitu pada perlakuan kontrol. Hasil uji anova menunjukkan bahwa pemberian mikrokapsul probiotik berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan berat mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan rasio konversi pakan dibandingkan dengan perlakuan kontrol. However, probiotics are generally unable to survive when passing through the stomach and digestive tract. With the probiotic microcapsule technique, it is expected that probiotics mixed into the feed will not be damaged as they pass through the digestive tract. The purpose of this study was to study the increase in growth of tiger grouper fish fed with probiotic Bacillus sp. D2.2 with different dosages. The results showed that feeding with probiotic microcapsules mixed could increase the growth of tiger grouper fish. The following are the highest observations, namely absolute weight growth (23.8 {$\pm$} 0.7) grams, specific growth rate (1.35 {$\pm$} 0.04)\% /day, feed covertion ratio (FCR) (1.3 {$\pm$} 0.1) ), survival rate (83 {$\pm$} 2.9)\% and protein digestibility 90.56\% while the lowest value is in the control treatment. Anova test results showed that the administration of probiotic microcapsules significantly affected the growth of absolute weight, daily growth rate and feed covertion ratio compared to control treatments.
