DARI AKAR TUMBUHAN TURI PUTIH (Sesbaniagrandiflora(L.) Pers.)

%X This study has been carried out on the isolation and identification of secondary 
metabolite compounds from the roots of white turi (S. grandiflora) as well as their 
antioxidant activity assay. S. grandiflora is belong to Fabaceae, which can be
used as a traditional medicine. This research was done by several steps including 
sample preparation, extraction, isolation, purification using TLC, VLC,CC, and 
structur analysis by NMR spectroscopy methods. One fraction obtained was the 
N-22 fraction (8.6 mg) in the form of a yellow crystal with a melting point of 
218.1?C-222.4?C. Based on the NMR spectroscopic analysis data, the N-22 
fraction is thought to contain Sesbagrandiflorain A (2-aryl benzofuran) compunds, 
the N-8 compounds, and other compounds that hadnot been identified. The 
antioxidant activity of N-22 fraction showed that this had medium category of 
antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 119.73?g/mL.

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan isolasi dan identifikasi senyawa metabolit 
sekunder dari akar tumbuhan turi putih (S. grandiflora) serta uji aktivitas 
antioksidan. S. grandiflora merupakan salah satu tumbuhan famili Fabaceae yang 
dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisional. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan 
adalah preparasi sampel, ekstraksi, isolasi, pemurnian secara berulang dengan 
metode KLT, KCV, KK, dan analisis struktur senyawa dengan metode 
spektroskopi NMR. Satu fraksi yang diperoleh yaitu fraksi N-22(8,6 mg) berupa 
kristal berwarna kuning dengan titik leleh 218,1?C-222,4?C. Berdasarkan data 
analisis spektroskopi NMR, fraksi N-22 diduga mengandung senyawa 
Sesbagrandiflorain A (2-arilbenzofuran), senyawa N-8, dan senyawa lain yang 
belum teridentifikasi. Uji antioksidan fraksi N-22 menunjukkan bahwa fraksi ini 
memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kategori sedang dengan nilai IC50 yaitu 
119,73?g/mL.
