SILIKA-MAGNETIT (Fe3O4) creator: SITI NUR AINI, 1517011080 subject: 540 Kimia dan ilmu yang berhubungan description: In this research, it has been conducted synthesis of Algae Hybrid Silica (HAS) and Algae Hybrid Silica-Magnetite (HASM) from algae biomass Spirulina sp. to be used as an adsorbent multicomponent solution (methylene blue, crystal violet, and Cu(II) ion). The synthesized adsorbents were characterized using an infrared spectrophotometer (IR) to identify functional groups, X-ray Diffraction (XRD) to determine the level of crystallinity and Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) to analyze surface morphology and elemental composition. The concentration of methylene blue and crystal violet in multicomponent solution was analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer while the concentration of Cu(II) ion was analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Adsorption of multicomponent solution on HAS and HASM adsorbent optimum at pH 8 with contact times of 30 and 15 minutes, respectively. The adsorption rate of multicomponent solutions to HAS and HASM tends to follow the pseudo second order kinetics model. Multicomponent adsorption isotherms tend to follow the Freundlich isotherm model. The HAS and HASM adsorbent can be used repeatedly to adsorb methylene blue as much as 5 times in the repetition cycle with an adsorption percentage < 80%. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan sintesis Hibrida Alga Silika (HAS) dan Hibrida Alga Silika-Magnetit (HASM) dari biomassa alga Spirulina sp. untuk digunakan sebagai adsorben larutan multikomponen (metilen biru, kristal violet, dan ion Cu(II)). Adsorben hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer inframerah (IR) untuk mengidentifikasi gugus fungsi, X-ray Diffraction (XRD) untuk menentukan tingkat kekristalan serta Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energi Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) untuk menganalisis morfologi permukaan dan komposisi unsur. Kadar larutan metilen biru dan kristal violet dalam larutan multikomponen dianalisis menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis sedangkan ion Cu(II) dianalisis dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Adsorpsi larutan multikomponen oleh adsorben HAS dan HASM optimum pada pH 8 dengan waktu kontak masing-masing selama 30 dan 15 menit. Laju adsorpsi larutan multikomponen terhadap HAS dan HASM cenderung mengikuti model kinetika pseudo orde dua. Isoterm adsorpsi multikomponen cenderung mengikuti model isoterm Freundlich. Adsorben HAS dan HASM dapat digunakan secara berulang untuk mengadsorpsi metilen biru sebanyak 5 kali siklus pengulangan dengan persentase adsorpsi < 80%.
