Therefore, the objective of this research was to find out whether there is a statistically significant difference of the students? speaking performance between the pretest and the posttest in the implementation of the jigsaw technique on a narrative story and to find out what aspect of speaking statistically improve. The subjects were 15 students of Senior High School 11 Bandar Lampung. Speaking tests in the forms of pretest and posttest were administered as the research instruments. The data obtained from the pretest and posttest were then analyzed by using Paired Sample T-Test by using SPSS 17.0 for Windows. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the pre- test and the post-test, the significant value was less than 0.05.
