%T HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TERHADAP TINGKAT KEPERCAYAAN DIRI PADA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS LAMPUNG
%X Latar Belakang: Pendidikan kedokteran merupakan lingkungan pendidikan yang memiliki tuntutan yang lebih besar dibandingkan jurusan lainnya, besarnya tuntutan dan tekanan yang dihadapi mahasiswa menyebabkan mahasiswa kedokteran rentan memiliki tingkat kepercayaan diri yang rendah. Kepercayaan diri merupakan aspek yang diperlukan mahasiswa kedokteran dalam menjalani masa pendidikan di Fakultas Kedokteran. Dukungan sosial merupakan bentuk bantuan yang diberikan oleh keluarga, teman, significant other yang dianggap memiliki peran dalam pembentukan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa.
Metode: Penelitian merupakan penelitian deksriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Populasi sampel yaitu 4 angkatan aktif mahasiswa PSPD FK Universitas Lampung yaitu angkatan 2018, 2019, 2020, dan 2021, dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 684 mahasiswa dan mengambil sampel sebanyak 258 mahasiswa. Variabel terikat yaitu tingkat kepercayaan diri yang diukur dengan alat ukur Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale dengan variabel bebas dukungan sosial yang diukur dengan Multidimensional Perceived of Social Support. 
Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan nilai p sebesar 0,008 (<0,05), sehingga terdapat hubungan dukungan sosial terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa PSPD FK Universitas Lampung. Hasil penelitinan menunjukkan tingkat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa yang masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan dukungan sosial tinggi dengan sumber dukungan yang paling mendominasi berasal dari keluarga. 
Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan dukungan sosial terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri mahasiswa PSPD FK Universitas Lampung.

Background: Medical education is an educational environment that has greater demands and pressures than other majors, the magnitude of demands and pressures that medical student must have to faced, increasing the risk for medical student to have low self-esteem. Self esteem is an aspect which needed by medical student to go through preclinic period at Faculty of Medicine which can affects student?s mental health. Social support is form of help given from family, friends, significant other and considered as part of self esteem development, especially college student.
Method: This study is an descriptive analytic method with a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique is proportionate random sampling. The research subjects were year 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 of medical student at Lampung University, with total population is 694 students and the sample were 258 students. The independent variable in this study were perceived social support, while the dependent variable was self-esteem level. This study used two instruments to measure these variables, there are Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale and Multidimensional Perceived of Social Support. 
Result: The study showed there is p value of 0,008 (<0,05) which also showed a relationship of social support with self-esteem level of medical student Faculty of Medicine at Lampung University. Most of Medical Student Faculty of Medicine in Lampung University has moderate self-esteem level with high perceived social support and family support played the biggest part.
Conclusion: There is relationship between perceived social support with self-esteem level of medical student Faculty of Medicine at Lampung University.
