%X Latar Belakang : Demam berdarah dengue (DBD) merupakan penyakit infeksi tropis  yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue (DENV) dengan gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti  sebagai vektor. Salah satu cara pencegahan gigitan nyamuk adalah dengan menggunakan  repelan. Repelan yang umum digunakan mengandung senyawa DEET. Walaupun dinilai  cukup aman, terdapat beberapa laporan yang menunjukkan efek samping DEET terhadap  manusia. Untuk itu diperlukan alternatif repelan yang lebih aman namun tetap efektif.  Repelan alami adalah salah satu alternatifnya. Ekstrak kulit kopi robusta (Coffea  canephora) memiliki kandungan berbagai fitokimia yang berpotensi menolak nyamuk.  Tujuan : Mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak kulit kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) sebagai  repelan terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegypti.  Metode : Ini merupakan penelitian dengan rancangan acak lengkap yang mengacu pada  uji efikasi WHOPES 2009. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari 2020 hingga Februari  2020. Lengan uji yang diberikan etanol sebagai kontrol negatif dan repelan ekstrak kulit    kopi sebagai perlakuan dimasukkan ke dalam 5 kurungan nyamuk berbeda yang masing-  masing berisi 50 ekor nyamuk Aedes aegypti lalu diamati jumlah nyamuk yang hinggap    selama 30 detik diulangi sebanyak 5 kali (seri konsentrasi 10; 20; 30; 40; dan 50% serta  kontrol). Daya proteksi masing-masing kelompok perlakuan dianalisis.  Hasil : Analisis daya proteksi menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan ekstrak  kulit kopi robusta efektif sebagai repelan Aedes aegypti ditandai dengan perbedaan  signifikan (p<0,05). Regresi probit menunjukkan dosis efektif median (ED50) dan dosis  efektif maksimum (ED99) masing-masing pada konsentrasi 12,76% dan 48,55%.  Simpulan : Ekstrak kulit kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) efektif sebagai repelan  terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegypti.    Kata kunci : Aedes aegypti, daya proteksi, ekstrak kulit kopi, repelan  Background : Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a tropical infectios disease caused  by dengue virus (DENV) with mosquitos bite primarily by Aedes aegypti as a vector. One  way to prevent mosquito bites is to use repellent. DEET is one of the most common  repellent. Even though DEET is considered fairly safe, there is still concern about the  DEET side effects. Therefore a safer and effective alternative repellent is needed. Natural  repellent are one of the alternative. Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) husk extract  contains various phytochemicals that potentially repel mosquitos.  Objective : To assess the effectiveness of robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) husk extract  as Aedes aegypti repellent.  Methods : This research is an experimental laboratory with a completely randomized  design based on efficacy test guideline of WHOPES 2009 which was conducted between  January 2020 to February 2020. The test arm was given ethanol and repellent of robusta  coffee husk extract and then put into 5 differant cages that contains 50 Aedes aegypti for  30 seconds to count the number of mosquitoes that make a contact with the test arm. The  repellency effect results of each group was analyzed.  Result : Kruskal-Wallis test on repellency percentage shows that robusta coffee husk  extract are effective as Aedes aegypti repellent. Probit regression show that the median  effective dose (ED50) and maximum effective dose (ED99) is 12.76% and 48.55%  respectively.  Conclusion : Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) husk extract is effective as Aedes  aegypti repellent.
