Isi rumen sapi cair memiliki kandungan nitrogen 111,4 ppm dan kan- dungan fosfor sebesar 401,79 ppm. Namun menghasilkan N/P ratio yang kecil se- besar 0,25:1 Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini cairan rumen sapi cair ditingkat- kan N/P ratio menjadi 10:1 dengan penambahan NaNO3. Kandungan tersebut me- miliki potensi yang tinggi untuk membuat rumen sapi cair sebagai pupuk alterna- tif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan isi rumen sapi cair sebagai sumber nutrien dengan dosis yang berbeda dalam kultur Thalasiossira sp. Peneli- tian ini dilaksanakan di CV. Krakatau Haura Baraka, Merak Belantung, Lampung Selatan. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan 3 ulangan, yaitu (A) 1 ml conwy /l air laut, (B) 1 ml isi rumen sapi cair /l air laut, (C) 10 ml isi rumen sapi cair/l air laut, (D) 1 ml isi ru- men sapi cair + 0,4 gr NaN03 /l air laut, dan (E) 10 ml isi rumen sapi cair + 0,4 gr NaN03/l air laut. Parameter yang diamati kepadatan populasi Thalasiossira sp. ukuran diatom, kadar protein dan kualitas air. Data kepadatan Thalasiossira sp. diuji menggunakan (ANOVA) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95\%. Menunjukan berbeda nyata dan dilanjutkan dengan uji duncan dengan hasil perlakuan A (kon- trol) merupakan perlakuan terbaik sedangkan keempat perlakuan isi rumen sapi cair tidak berbeda nyata. Namun pada hari ke-3 kepadatan perlakuan D dan E ti- dak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan A (kontrol) Sehingga dapat dipanen pada hari ke-3. Pengukuran kadar protein berkisar 9,9 ? 11,8\% dan diameter diatom se- tiap perlakuan berkisar 5 - 10 {\ensuremath{\mu}}m. Pengukuran kualitas air media berada pada ki- saran suhu 24-26 oC, Nilai pH 7 dan salinitas 32-34 ppt. Kata kunci : isi rumen sapi cair, nutrien, Thalasiossira sp.The contents of the rumen of cows is one of the waste that comes from the slaugh- terhouse.The contents of the rumen of cattle liquid nitrogen content 111,4 ppm and the content of phosphorus by 401,79 ppm. However, generating the N/P ratio is small at 0.25:1 therefore, in this study, rumen fluid of cattle liquid enhanced the N/P ratio to 10:1 with the addition of NaNO3. The content has a high potential to make beef rumen liquid as a fertilizer alternative. This study aims to assess the utilization of the contents of the rumen liquid cattle as a source of nutrients with different doses in the culture of the Thalasiossira sp. This study was conducted in CV. Krakatau Haura Baraka, Merak Belantung, South Lampung. The research de- sign used was complete randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments with 3 repli- cations, namely (A) 1 ml of conwy /l sea water, (B) 1 ml of rumen contents of cows liquid /l sea water, (C) 10 ml of rumen contents of cows liquid/l sea water, (D) 1 ml of rumen contents of cows liquid + 0.4 grams of NaN03 /l of sea water, and (E) 10 ml of rumen contents of cows liquid + 0.4 grams of NaN03/l of sea water. The parameters of the observed population density Thalasiossira sp. the size of the diatoms, protein content and water quality. Data density Thalasiossira sp. tested using (ANOVA) with a confidence level of 95\%. Shows the different real and continued with Duncan test with the results of treatment A (control) is the best treatment while the fourth treatment the contents of the rumen of cattle liquid not significantly different. But on day 3 the density of the treatment D and E were not significantly different with the Control treatment (A) So that it can be harves- ted on day 3. Measurement of protein content ranges of 9.9 ? of 11.8\% and the diameter of the diatom each treatment ranged from 5 - 10 {\ensuremath{\mu}}m.
