Universitas Lampung sebagai universitas negri terbesar di Lampung dengang
jumlah mahasiswa aktif yang cukup banyak sudah sewajarnya memiliki fasilitas ?
fasilitas yang dapat mendukung kegiatan mahasiswa di luar kegiatan perkuliahan
seperti misalnya UKM serta organisasi mahasiswa tingkat universitas lainnya.
Salah satu fasilitas yang dapat mendukung kegiatan mahasiswa di luar kegiatan
perkuliahan adlah Student Center atau biasa lebih dikenal dengan Pusat Kegiatan
Mahasiswa. Hanya saja pada kenyataannya saat ini Universitas Lampung belum
secara maksimal dalam menyediakan fasilitas yang berfungsi sebagai wadah
kegiatan organisasi mahasiswa tersebut. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk memperluas wawasan mengenai student center seperti apa yang dapat
mendukung kegiatan mahasiswa serta meningkatkan prouktivitas mahasiswa. Pada
perancangan student center Universitas Lampung menggunakan bangunan student
center Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Lampung serta gedung Graha
Mahasiswa Universitas Lampung sebagai preseden. Sedangkan pendekatan
biophilic design akan digunakan sebagai pendukung dalam menciptakan bangunan
student center yang berpengaruh positif bagi pengguna bangunan student center ini.

University of Lampung as the largest public university in Lampung with a large
number of active students, naturally has facilities that can support student activities
outside of lectures, such as student activities and student organizations. One of the
facilities that can support student activities outside of lectures is the Student Center.
It's just that in reality at this time the University of Lampung has not maximally
provided facilities that function as a forum for the student organization's activities.
Therefore, this study aims to broaden the insight into what kind of student center
can support student activities and increase student productivity. In designing the
student center university of Lampung, the student center building of the Faculty of
Economics and Business University of Lampung and the Graha Mahasiswa
University of Lampung building is used as a precedent. While the biophilic
approach will be used as a support in creating a student center building that has a
positive effect on users of this student center building.
