description: Purpose in life merupakan salah satu dimensi psychological well-being, yang merupakan kemampuan individu untuk menyusun tujuan hidup yang lebih bermakna dan menjadikan tujuan hidup berarah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara stress akademik dengan purpose in life. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala stress akademik dan skala purpose in life. Responden penelitian yaitu sebanyak 289 mahasiswa FKIP Unila, yang diperoleh dengan meggunakan teknik voluntary sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis product moment menunjukkan bahwa koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,215 > rtabel 0,113 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang artinya dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan sebesar -0,215 antara purpose in life dengan stress akademik pada mahasiswa FKIP.      Kata kunci : mahasiswa, purpose in life, stress akademik               ABSTRACT    Purpose in life is one of the dimensions of phychological well-being, which is an individual’s ability to develop more meaningful life goals and make life goals directed. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic stress and purpose in life. This study uses correlational quantitative methods. Data collection tehniques in this study used the academic stress scale and the purpose in life scale. The research respondents were 289 FKIP students who were obtained by using voluntary sampling technique. The data analysis technique uses product moment correlation. The results of the research with product moment analysis show that the correlation coefficient is -0,215 > rtabel 0,113 then Ho is rejected and Ha received, which means that it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship of -0,215 between purpose in life and academic stress in FKIP students.
