Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan Suplemen Buku Ajar berbasis Discovery Learning yang layak dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas untuk meningkatkan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada Tema Panas dan Perpindahannya. Penelitian dan pengembangan merujuk teori Borg & Gall (1983: 775). Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Kecamatan Metro Timur. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, kelas V sebesar 28 peserta didik. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara mixed antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Suplemen Buku Ajar IPA Berbais Discovery Learning layak digunakan dengan efektif meningkatkan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Kelayakan dibuktikan melalui hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa, dengan kriteria ?sangat valid, sangat tuntas, dan dapat digunnakan?. Efektivitas dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan skor pretest posttest berpikir kreatif pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh N-gain sebesar 74,5% dengan kategori ?cukup Efektif?, maka Suplemen Buku Ajar IPA berbasis Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan berpikir kreatif. Kata kunci : Suplemen Buku Ajar, Discovery Learning, Berfikir Kreatif This research is motivated by the problem of low creative thinking of students in science subjects. Aims to produce a discovery learning-based Science Supplement Teaching Book and know the effectiveness of Discovery Learning- based Science Supplement Teaching Book to improve students' creative thinking on The Theme of Heat and Displacement. This type of research and development refers to the theory of Borg &Gall (1983: 775). The research population is students of grade V elementary school in Metro Timur subdistrict. Sampling of research using purposive sampling technique, class V of 28 students. Data analysis techniques are carried out in a mixed between quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that the Discovery Learning-Based Science Supplement Teaching Book is worth using, as well as effective for improving students' creative thinking. Eligibility is proven by the validation of material experts, media experts and linguists, with criteria "very valid, very complete, and usable". Effectiveness is evidenced by the results of the calculation of pretest scores and posttest creative thinking skills in the experimental class obtained N-gain of 74,5% with the category "quite effective" so, can using the Discovery Learning-based Science Supplement Textbook to improve students' creative thinking.
