abstract: This study aims to investigate the demands patterns of the people in Bandar
Lampung City before the Covid 19 pandemic and during the pandemic, demands
patterns were measured using the Consumer Price Index, This study uses monthly
data starting from January 2019 to March 2021, with March 2020 as the beginning
of the Covid-19 pandemic. The analytical model used to examine the demands
patterns of the people of the city of Bandar Lampung before the Covid-19 pandemic
and during the Covid-19 pandemic used the analysis of the average difference test
or better known as the paired sample t-test. The calculation results show that the
Bandar Lampung City Composite Price Index before the pandemic was lower than
the average Bandar Lampung City Composite Price Index during the pandemic, In
general, people's demands patterns in the city of Bandar Lampung are different
before the Covid-19 pandemic with demands patterns during the Covid-19
pandemic. The five expenditure sector groups, namely the food, beverage and
tobacco group, the information, communication and financial services sector
expenditure group, the health group, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group,
each of which is a measure of c demands patterns, proved to be different before the
Covid-19 pandemic with the during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasikan pola permintaan masyarakat di
Kota Bandar Lampung sebelum terjadinya pandemi Covid 19 dan selama adanya
pandemi, pola permintaan diukur menggunakan Indeks Harga Konsumen,
Penelitian ini menggunakan data bulanan dimulai dari Januari 2019 sampai dengan
Maret 2021, dengan bulan Maret 2020 sebagai permulaan terjadinya pandemi
Covid-19. Model analisis yang digunakan untuk meneliti pola permintaan
masyarakat kota Bandar Lampung sebelum pandemi Covid-19 dengan semasa
pandemi Covid-19 digunakan analisis uji beda rata-rata atau yang lebih dikenal
dengan paired sample t-test. Hasil perhitungan memperlihatkan bahwa Indeks
Harga Gabungan Kota Bandar Lampung sebelum pandemi lebih rendah
dibandingkan dengan rata-rata Indeks Harga Gabungan Kota Bandar Lampung
semasa Pandemi, secara umum pola permintaan masyarakat di kota Bandar
Lampung mengalami perbedaan sebelum pandemi Covid-19 dengan pola
permintaan semasa pandemi Covid-19. Lima kelompok sektor pengeluaran yaitu
kelompok makanan, minuman dan tembakau, kelompok pengeluaran sektor
informasi, komunikasi dan jasa keuangan, kelompok kesehatan, kelompok
penyediaan makanan dan minuman/restoran yang menjadi ukuran pola permintaan
secara masing-masing terbukti terdapat perbedaan sebelum pandemi Covid-19
dengan semasa pandemi Covid-19.
