        abstract = {Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik kepribadian guru bk
sekolah menengah di kabupaten lampung utara dilihat dari perbedaan jenis
kelamin, latar belakang pendidikan dan masa kerja. Responden dalam
penelitian ini 23 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes
karakteristik konselor.analisa data menggunakan analisis persentase. Hasil
analisa data menunjukkan bahwa 57,7\% guru bk sekolah menengah di
kabupaten lampung utara belum mampu menampilkan karakteristik
kepribadian yang sesuai dengan profesi seorang guru bk sebagai konselor
sekolah. Perlu adanya peningkatan kompetensi kepribadian dan proses
pengembangan diri pada guru bk sebagai konselor di kabupaten lampung utara.

The problem in this research is what are the characteristics of counseling
teachersof high school level in kabupaten lampung utara. The purpose of this
study was to determine the characteristics of counseling teachers at the high
school level in kabupaten lampung utara. Respondents in this study were 23
people. The data collection technique used was the counselor characteristics
tests. Data wasanalysed using qualitative data analysis. The results of the data
analysis showed that 57,7\% of the counseling teachers at the high school level in
kabupaten lampung utara have not been able to display personal characteristics
that are in accordance with the profession of a counseling teacher as a school

counselor. Soit is necessary to increase the personality competence and self-
developmentprocess of counseling teachers as counselors in kabupaten lampung

utara.
