It consists of three components:\r\n(1) Student A interviews student B; (2) student B interviews student A; (3) Students\r\nmake round robin format to share what has been done.\r\nThe objectives of this research are to find out the improvement of students' speaking\r\nafter the implementation of three step-interview technique at SMKN 1 Terbanggi\r\nBesar. And to find out what aspect of speaking that improve the most after the\r\nimplementation of three-step interview technique and the subject of the research\r\nwere students of tenth grade (class X Accounting I) in the academic year 2020/2021.\r\nThis research used a quantitative method and the instrument is speaking test.\r\nRepeated Measures T-test used to analyze data and the hypothesis testing computed\r\nused SPSS version 20 at the level significant 0.05 analyzing the data, the result\r\nshows that:\r\n1. Three–Step Interview is applicable to increase the students speaking\r\nachievement in descriptive text, especially in terms of pronunciation, grammar,\r\nvocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It can be seen from the finding of the\r\nresearch in pre-test and post-test. In pre-test, students mean score was 67.3 while\r\nin post-test it increases to 79.87; the gain obtained in pre-test to post-test is 12.5.\r\nThe analysis of SPSS 20 shows that there is significant increase of students\r\nspeaking achievement after implementation Three–step Interview;\r\n2. The use of Three-step interview technique in teaching speaking find out the\r\naspect of speaking that increased the most. Based on seeing the analysis of\r\nstudents' work in pretest and posttest on each aspect of speaking.
