FAKTOR-FAKTOR MAHASISWI MENGHISAP ROKOK

(Studi pada Mahasiswi Perokok
di Universitas Lampung)

Di era ini, tidak hanya kaum pria yang merokok melainkan kaum perempuan
juga melakukannya. Perilaku merokok juga dilakukan oleh mahasiswi yang ada
di lingkungan Universitas Lampung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui faktor mahasiswi menghisap rokok, serta makna rokok bagi
mahasiswi perokok di Universitas Lampung.
Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan
pendekatan fenomenologi Alfred Schutz. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
mahasiswi tersebut merokok karena dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor
diantaranya role model, reaksi terhadap perasaan negatif, dan kecanduan.
Mahasiswi perokok memaknai rokok sebagai Pertama, rokok sebagai kebutuhan
dan kebiasaan, merokok bagi mahasiswi bermakna sebagai suatu kebiasaan dan
menjadi salah satu kebutuhan hidup, makna tersebut juga diketahui oleh sesama
perokok dalam kelompoknya. Kedua, menghargai sesama perokok, tidak hanya
dalam kelompok yang terdiri dari teman kumpul informan saja melainkan
sesama perokok yang lain baik yang jarang berkumpul ataupun yang baru
dikenal. Ada bentuk menghargai terhadap orang lain bagi perokok. Ketiga,
kebersamaan, hal tersebut untuk menunjukkan rasa kebersamaan saat mereka
berkumpul di suatu tempat. Keempat, melepas kepenatan, kontinuitas berkumpul
dengan sesama perokok perempuan menjadi salah satu kegiatan yang dapat
melepaskan kepenatan. Sebuah pemaknaan terhadap rokok bagi mahasiswi tidak
terlepas dari adanya because of motive sebelum terjadinya in order to motive
yang merupakan penyebab dari perempuan merokok dan faktor mereka
menghisap rokok.

ABSTRACT

FACTORS OF STUDENTS IN SMOKING CIGARETTES
(Study on Smoking Students of Lampung University)

In this era, not only men who smoke but women also do it. Smoking behavior is
also carried out by students in the University of Lampung. The purpose of this
study is to find out the factors of smoking coeds, as well as the meaning of
cigarettes for student smokers at the University of Lampung.
this research uses qualitative methods with the phenomenological approach of
Alfred Schutz. The results showed that the student smoked because it was
influenced by several factors including role models, reactions to negative feelings,
and addiction. Student smokers define cigarettes as First, cigarettes as a necessity
and habit, smoking for students means as a habit and become one of the needs of
life, the meaning is also known by fellow smokers in the group. Second, respect
fellow smokers, not only in groups consisting of informants but fellow smokers
who are either rarely gathered or new known. There is a form of respect towards
others for smokers. Third, togetherness, it is to show a sense of togetherness when
they gather somewhere. Fourth, releasing fatigue, continuity of gathering with
fellow female smokers becomes one of the activities that can release fatigue. The
use of cigarettes for women is inseparable from the existence of a cause of motive
before the in order to motive that is the cause of women smoking and the factors
why they smoke cigarettes.
