Mangrove wood activated carbon adsorbents obtained used to adsorption purple textile dye code 4. The physical activation process finished at 500 0C for 1 hour and chemical activation was perfomed using H3PO4 10% activator for 24 hour. Characterization of mangrove wood activated carbon was carried out by using Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX) to determine the surface morphology activated carbon. The adsorption test of mangrove wood activated carbon to purple textile dye code 4 aim to find out optimum conditions of activated carbon among others namely adsorbent weight, pH, contact time, concentration and determine adsorption isotherm model. Adsorption of purple textile dye code 4 by mangrove wood activated carbon occurs at optimum conditions with an adsorbent weight of 0,08 grams at pH 3 with contact time for 120 minutes and solution concentration 100 ppm. The adsorption isotherm of purple textile dye code 4 tend to follow the Freundlich adsorption isotherm model with correlation coefficient value (R2 ) was 0,9607.
