Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional, dengan pendekatan Ex –  Post Facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Natar yang  berjumlah 128 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proporsional random  sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Analisis data menggunakan  regresi linier sederhada dan regresi linear ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada  pengaruh persepsi siswa tentang perhatian orang tua sebesar 0,051 yang berarti 51% dan  minat belajar memiliki koefisien korelasi yaitu sebesar 0,817 yang berarti 81,7% terhadap  prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 3 Natar dengan nilai alpha kurang dari 0,05  baik secara parsial maupun simultan.    Kata kunci: Perhatian Orang Tua, Minat Belajar, Prestasi Belajar      The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of students' perceptions of parental  attention and interest in learning on social studies learning achievement of class VIII  students at SMP Negeri 3 Natar. This research is a correlational quantitative research,  with an Ex – Post Facto approach. The population in this study were all students of class  VIII SMPN 3 Natar, amounting to 128 people. The sampling technique used proportional  random sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis used  simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was  an influence of students' perceptions of parental attention of 0.051 which means 51% and  interest in learning has a correlation coefficient of 0.817 which means 81.7% on social  studies learning achievement of class VIII students at SMPN 3 Natar with an alpha value  of less than 0. .05 either partially or simultaneously.
