        abstract = {The research objective was to analyze the effect of economic growth,
unemployment, investment and infrastructure on inequality in the Sumatra region.
The data used is panel data consisting of time series data for 2009-2019 and a
cross section of 10 provinces in Sumatra. The variables used are regional
inequality, economic growth, unemployment, investment, and infrastructure. The
analysis tool used is panel data regression, namely the Fixed Effect Model (FEM).
The results showed that the practice of economic growth and infrastructure had a
negative and significant effect on regional inequality. Unemployment has a
positive and significant effect on regional inequality, while investment has no
significant effect on regional inequality in the 10 provinces in Sumatra in the
2009-2019 study period.

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi,
pengangguran, investasi, dan infrastruktur terhadap ketimpangan di wilayah
Sumatera. Data yang digunakan merupakan data panel terdiri dari data time series
tahun 2009-2019 dan cross section 10 provinsi di Sumatera. Variabel yang
digunakan adalah ketimpangan wilayah, pertumbuhan ekonomi, pengangguran,
investasi, dan infrastruktur. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel
yaitu Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktek
pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan Infrastruktur berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan
terhadap ketimpangan wilayah. Pengangguran berpengaruh positif dan signifikan
terhadap ketimpangan wilayah, sedangkan investasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan
terhadap ketimpangan wilayah 10 provinsi di Sumatera pada periode penelitian
2009-2019.
