Siswa sulit menginterpretasi, menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan menginferensi dari permasalahan matematika yang disajikan. Permasalahan tersebut merupakan alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk berupa sintaks/langkah model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) berbantu video berorientasi pada berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) ini mengikuti langkah-langkah Borg dan Gall. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket dan tes. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Natar tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Model Group Investigation (GI) berbantu video memiliki kategori valid dan praktis, dan (2) Model Group Investigation (GI) berbantu video efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Kata kunci: Group Investigation (GI), video, berpikir kritis matematis. One of the causes of low critical thinking skills was the application of an inappropriate learning model. Students found it difficult to interpret, to analyze, evaluate and to infer the mathematical problems presented. This problem is as reason to conduct this research. The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of syntax/learning steps of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model by video oriented to students' mathematical critical thinking. This research and development followed the steps of Borg and Gall. Data collection technique using observation, interview, questionnaire and test. The subjects of was research class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Natar in the academic year 2020/2021. The resuls showed that (1). Video-assisted Model Group Investigation (GI) design had valid and practical categories, and (2). The design of the Video-assisted Group Investigation (GI) Model was effective to increase students' mathematical critical thinking skills.
