Teori yang digunakan adalah teori ketergantungan media atau media dependency theory. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling berdasarkan 20 kecamatan di Kota Bandar Lampung. Kriteria sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu remaja berusia 20-24 tahun, berdomisili di Kota Bandar Lampung, dan telah berlangganan Netflix. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 100 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Lemeshow. Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y = 12,711 + 0,510X artinya nilai konstanta (a) sebesar 12,711 dan koefisien regresi X bernilai arah positif, setiap peningkatan satu satuan variabel X akan berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y sebesar 0,510. Berdasarkan hasil uji determinasi, pengaruh variabel X terhadap variabel Y adalah sebesar 54,1%. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t dinyatakan diterima dengan nilai t hitung = 10,750 > t tabel = 1,984. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dimensi fun, rich content, enjoy, dan interesting features pada variabel perceived enjoyment dapat mempengaruhi kegiatan binge watching seseorang yang dilihat dari variabel motivasinya meliputi dimensi enjoyment, efficiency, fandom, escape, dan social influence. The theory used in this research is media dependency theory. This study uses a survey method with an explanatory quantitative approach. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling based on 20 sub-districts in Bandar Lampung City. The sample criteria in this study are adolescents aged 20-24 years, domiciled in Bandar Lampung City, and have subscribed to Netflix. The number of samples in this study was 100 respondents who were determined using the Lemeshow formula. Based on the results of a simple linear regression test, the equation Y = 12.711 + 0.510X means that the constant value (a) is 12.711 and the regression coefficient X is positive, each increase in one unit of the X variable will affect the Y variable by 0.510. Based on the results of the determination test, the effect of variable X on variable Y is 54.1%. Hypothesis testing using t-test is declared acceptable with t-count = 10.750 > t-table = 1.984. This study shows that the dimensions of fun, rich content, enjoy, and interesting features on the perceived enjoyment variable can affect a person's binge watching activities which are seen from the motivational variables including enjoyment, efficiency, fandom, escape, and social influence dimensions.
