N2  - Di era komunikasi saat ini, teknologi sangat erat kaitannya dengan Internet. Adanya new media atau media baru memberikan perubahan pada aspek kehidupan dengan menyamarkan adanya keterbatasan ruang dan waktu. Media sosial salah satu media baru yang memberikan kemudahan bagi pengguna (users) dalam hal berbagi informasi, menciptakan sebuah konten. Salah satu media sosial yang banyak dinikmati adalah aplikasi Twitter. Mayoritas pengguna menggunakan Twitter dikarenakan mereka ingin mengetahui tentang berita terkini yang terjadi. Selanjutnya mereka tidak ingin tertinggal informasi, ada juga yang menggunakan hanya untuk mengisi waktu luang, hingga untuk mengikuti trending topics yang ada. Salah satu topik yang ramai dibicarakan adalah kasus Rachel Vennya yang tidak menjalani masa karantina setelah pulang dari luar negeri. Hal ini dapat ditemukan dalam akun Twitter @AREAJULID dan menimbulkan beragam sikap dari pengguna Twitter. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan akun Twitter @AREAJULID terhadap sikap pengguna terkait kasus Rachel Vennya (studi pada followers @AREAJULID). Teori yang digunakan adalah teori stimulus-organisme-respon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan sampe berjumlah 100 responden yang ditentukan dengan Rumus Slovin. Berdasarkan perhitungan dengan uji T menyatakan variabel X berpengaruh sebesar 60,3% terhadap variabel Y, sedangkan sisanya 39,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Hipotesis yang diajukan diterima dengan dibuktikan nilai T hitung =12.192 > T tabel =1,660. Indikator dalam penggunaan akun Twitter @AREAJULID yang paling berpengaruh adalah atensi sedangkan indikator yang paling besar mempengaruhi sikap pengguna adalah efek kognitif dan behavioral.

Nowadays, technology is closely related to the Internet. The existence of new media provides changes and one of them is disguising the limitations of space and time. Social media is one of the new media that makes it easy for users in terms of sharing information and creating content. One of the most-used social media nowadays is Twitter. Everyone who has a Twitter account mainly because they want to know about the latest trending and what really happen around the world. Furthermore, they don't want to be left behind, there are also those who use it just to fill their free time. One topic that has been widely discussed is the case of Rachel Vennya, who did not do a quarantine procedures after returning from abroad. One of The Twitter account that also opened up about this case is @AREAJULID. It has an impact on it?s users attitude. This study aims to determine the effect on the use of @AREAJULID Twitter Account on Users Attitude in Rachel Vennya Case. Researchers determine a theory that is in accordance with the phenomenon namely the SOR (Stimulus-organism-Respon) theory. This study uses a survey method. The sample in this study is at least 100 people who are determined by the Slovin formula. Based on calculations using the T test, it can be seen that the X variable has an effect of 60.3% on the Y variable, while the remaining 39.7% is influenced by other factors that are not examined in this study. The hypothesis is accepted proven by T count = 12,192 > T table = 1,662. The most influential indicator in the X variable is attention, while the indicator that has the biggest influence on the Y variable are cognitive and behavioral effects.
