?url_ver=Z39.88-2004&rft_val_fmt=info%3Aofi%2Ffmt%3Akev%3Amtx%3Adc&rft.title=AN+ANALYSIS+OF+GRAMMATICAL+ERRORS+IN+WRITING%0D%0ARECOUNT+TEXT+BASED+ON+SURFACE+STRATEGY%0D%0ATAXONOMY+AT+THE+FIRST+YEAR+OF+SMA+YP+UNILA%0D%0ABANDAR+LAMPUNG&rft.creator=Bulqis+Jolay+Waway%2C+0853042006&rft.subject=+&rft.description=In+composing+a+good+writing%2C+we+should+notice+some+aspects.+Grammar+is%0D%0Aimportant+aspect+that+should+be+mastered+in+order+to+make+a+well-structured%0D%0Awriting.+In+learning+process%2C+the+students+still+made+errors+and+mistakes%2C+so+it+is%0D%0Aimportant+to+analyze+their+errors+and+diagnose+the+difficulty+of+the+study+in+the%0D%0Aclassroom.%0D%0AIn+reference+to+that+matter+there+seems+to+be+need+to+analyze+what+are+the%0D%0Afrequencies+of+the+students%E2%80%99+grammatical+errors+that+is+the+objective+of+this%0D%0Aresearch+are+to+identify+the+frequencies+of+occurances+of+the+students%E2%80%99+grammatical%0D%0Aerrors+based+on+surface+strategy+taxonomy+that+is+found+in+their+recount+text.%0D%0AThis+research+applied+descriptive+qualitative+method%2C+where+the+researcher%0D%0Agathered+the+data+from+the+students+recount+text+writing.+The+data+gained+were%0D%0Afurther+based+on+the+surface+strategy+taxonomy+in+order+to+draw+the+conclusion.%0D%0AHaving+analyzed+the+data%2C+it+was+found+that+the+first+grade+students+of+first%0D%0Asemester+at+SMA+YP+UNILA+Bandar+Lampung%2C+committed+four+types+of+errors%0D%0Abased+on+surface+strategy+taxonomy.+The+highest+frequency+of+errors+based+on%0D%0Asurface+strategy+taxonomy+is+misformation+81+items+of+errors+or+46.7%25.+The%0D%0Ahighest+students%E2%80%99+errors+frequency+of+each+error+type+is+misformation+of+verb%0D%0Awhich+is+43+errors+or+53%25%2C+the+second+is+omission+of+verb+which+is+14+errors+or%0D%0A20.6%25%2C+then+the+third+is+addition+of+preposition+which+is+10+errors+or+59%25%2C+and+the%0D%0Alast+is+misordering+of+phrase+which+is+9+errors+or+100%25.%0D%0AMost+of+the+students%E2%80%99+of+class+X.2+of+SMA+YP+UNILA+Bandar+Lampung%0D%0Acommitted+all+types+errors+of+surface+strategy+taxonomy.+It+means+that+although%0D%0Athe+students+have+been+taught+English+4+hours+a+week%2C+they+still+have+problem%0D%0Awith+English+grammar.+In+other+words%2C+they+still+commit+many+errors+in+terms+of%0D%0AEnglish+grammar.+Therefore%2C+English+teacher+should+not+ignore+the+errors%0D%0Acommitted+by+the+students.+The+teacher+can+give+remedial+teaching+for+the%0D%0Astudents+to+improve+students%E2%80%99+mastery+in+writing+skill%0D%0AWriting+is+the+most+difficult+skill+for+students+even+though+they+have+learnt%0D%0AEnglish+for+years.+This+can+be+caused+by+the+differences+between+Indonesian+and%0D%0AEnglish+grammar.+In+writing+recount+text%2C+the+students+often+commit+errors+in%0D%0Ausing+tenses%2C+especially+past+tense+and+also+part+of+speech.%0D%0AIn+reference+to+that+matter+there+seems+to+be+need+to+analyze+what+are+the%0D%0Afrequencies+of+the+students%E2%80%99+grammatical+errors+and+what+are+the+main+resources%0D%0Athat+may+cause+the+errors+that+is+the+objectives+of+this+research+are+to+identify+the%0D%0Afrequencies+of+occurances+of+the+students%E2%80%99+grammatical+errors+based+on+surface%0D%0Astrategy+taxonomy+and+developmental+category+that+are+found+in+their+recount+text%0D%0Aand+to+find+out+the+possible+sources+of+the+errors.+This+research+was+conducted+at%0D%0Athe+first+grade+of+SMA+N+13+Bandar+Lampung%2C+at+second+semester%2C+during%0D%0A2011%2F2012+school+year.%0D%0AThis+research+applied+descriptive+qualitative+method%2C+where+the+researcher%0D%0Agathered+the+data+from+the+students+recount+text+writing+and+interview.+The+data%0D%0Agained+were+further+based+on+the+surface+strategy+taxonomy+and+developmental%0D%0Acategory+in+order+to+draw+the+conclusion.%0D%0AHaving+analyzed+the+data%2C+it+is+found+that+the+first+grade+students+of+second%0D%0Asemester+at+SMA+Negeri+13+Bandar+Lampung%2C+committed+four+types+of+errors%0D%0Abased+on+surface+strategy+taxonomy+and+developmental+category%2C+the+highest%0D%0Afrequency+of+error+types+based+on+surface+strategy+taxonomy+is+misformation+error%0D%0Awith+45.65%25+followed+by+ommision+errors+(26.23+%25)%2C+addition+errors+(22.31%25)%0D%0Aand+misordering+errors+(5.79%25).+While+based+on+the+developmental+category+are%3A%0D%0Apre-systematic+stage+(49.74%25)%2C+systematic+stage+(28.62%25)+and+post-systematic%0D%0Astage+(21.63%25).%0D%0AAs+for+result%2C+it+can+be+found+that+the+highest+number+of+errors+occurred+in%0D%0Amisformation+errors.+This+might+show+that+students+have+more+serious+problems+in%0D%0Ausing+tenses+and+part+of+speech+and+they+have+not+comprehended+the+linguistic%0D%0Asystem+used+in+the+sentences.+They+might+also+be+influenced+by+Indonesian%0D%0Agrammar.+And+based+on+the+developmental+category+the+most+frequent+errors%0D%0Aoccurred+in+pre-systematic+stage.+This+might+due+to+the+students%E2%80%99+lack+of%0D%0Aknowledge+about+grammar.+The+errors+students%E2%80%99+produced+were+possibly+caused%0D%0Aby+some+factors%2C+such+as%3B+ins
