title: IMPROVING THE STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN WRITING NARRATIVE TEXT THROUGH SHORT ANIMATED STORIES AT THE FIRST GRADE OF SMAN 01 NATAR creator: Yessi , Victoria subject: 607 Pendidikan, riset, topik terkait description: The objective of this research was to investigate if there was any improvement of students’ writing ability after the implementation of a short animated story in the first grade of SMAN 1 Natar. The sample of this research was X1, which consisted of 21 students. The data were obtained through a pre-test and post-test and the results were analyzed by using Paired Sample T-Test. The finding of Paired Sample T-Test revealed that there was a significant improvement in students writing narrative text after the implementation of a short animated story. The results of the research showed that the average post-test score(66.07) was higher than the pre-test (55.36), it increased by 10.7. It means there was a significant improvement in students’ writing ability in narrative text. From the result, It could be concluded that using short animated stories is effective for teaching writing narrative text.
