Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer,
leader, supervisor, innovator, motivator, administrator, dan educator dalam meningkatakan mutu
pendidikan disekolah dasar negeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk peran kepala sekolah sebagai
manajer, leader, supervisor, innovator, motivator, administrator, dan educator dalam
meningkatakan mutu pendidikan disekolah dasar negeri sekolah dasar di SD N di Way Lima
Kabupaten Pesawaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan
pendekatan diskriptif. Menggunakan lembar wawancara dengan 3 orang narasumber yaitu kepala
sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru, serta lembar observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui sarana
dan prasarana sekolah. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam meningkatkan mutu
pendidikan kepala sekolah menjalankan perannya sebagai 1) manajer, 2) leader, 3) supervisor, 4)
innovator, 5) motivator, 6) administrator dan 7) educator dengan baik, kepala sekolah memberikan
sangsi hukuman sesuai aturan yang ada, serta mengatur pelaksanaan suasana kerja yang memadai.
Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi yang didapatkan, kepala sekolah dapat
dikatakan sudah menjalankan perannya dengan baik.

The formulation of the problem in this study is what is the role of the principal as a
manager, leader, supervisor, innovator, motivator, administrator and educator in improving
the quality of education in public elementary schools. This study aims at the role of the
school principal as manager, leader, supervisor, innovator, motivator, administrator, and
educator in improving the quality of education in public elementary schools at SD N in
Way Lima, Pesawaran District. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a
descriptive approach. Using interview sheets with 3 informants, namely the principal,
deputy principal and teacher, as well as observation sheets are used to determine school
facilities and infrastructure. From the results of the study it can be concluded that in
improving the quality of education the principal performs his role as 1) manager, 2) leader,
3) supervisor, 4) innovator, 5) motivator, 6) administrator and 7) educator properly, the
principal imposes penalties accordance with existing regulations, as well as regulate the
implementation of an adequate working atmosphere. Based on the results of interviews,
observations and documentation obtained, the school principal can be said to have carried
out his role well.
