Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPA kelas V di sekolah
dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif pada model
pembelajaran inquiry dan discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta
didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Harapa Jaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian
ini adalah quasi experiment design dengan bentuk nonequivalent control group
design. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling non probability sampling
dengan jenis teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 74
peserta didik dengan sampel sebanyak 50 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data
pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan nontes. Analisis data yang digunakan
adalah uji regresi linear sederhana dan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
terdapat pengaruh positif pada model pembelajaran inquiry dan discovery learning
terhadap hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Harapa Jaya tahun
pelajaran 2022/2023. Namun, model pembelajaran inquiry memiliki tingkat
pengaruh positif yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran discovery
learning, sehingga setelah dianalisis terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar inquiry
dan discovery learning.

This study's issue concerns the low learning outcomes of Science subjects in
primary fifth-grade schools. This study aimed to determine the positive effect of
inquiry and discovery learning models on the Science subject learning outcomes of
State Primary School 1 of Harapan Jaya fifth-graders. This study employed a quasi-
experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. This research
utilised non-probability and purposive sampling techniques. This research's
population consisted of 74 students, and the sample was 50. The data was collected
by conducted tests and non-tests. The data was analysed using a simple linear
regression test and T-test. The findings indicated that the inquiry and discovery
learning models positively affected the Science subject learning outcomes of fifth-
grade students at State Primary School 1 of Harapan Jaya in the academic year of
2022/2023. However, the inquiry learning model had a greater level of a positive
effect than the discovery learning model; therefore, there was a difference between
the learning outcomes of inquiry and discovery learning outcomes after analysing.
