abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui determinasi indeks kebahagian di Indonesia tahun 2021. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis regresi data cross section pada 34 provinsi di Indonesia tahun 2021. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel pendidikan dan hubungan sosial berpengaruh positif dan signifigkan terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di Indonesia. Variabel pekerjaan yaitu tingkat pengganguran dan variabel keharmonisan keluarga yaitu tingkat perceraian memiliki pengaruh yang negatif dan signifikan terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di Indonesia tahun 2021. Sedangkan, variabel konsumsi rumah tangga, kesehatan dan kondisi rumah dan aset memiliki pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap indeks kebahagiaan di Indonesia tahun 2021. Sehingga pada perspektif ekonomi indeks kebahagiaan dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendidikan dan pekerjaan. Untuk melengkapi indikator ekonomi yang umumnya digunakan dalam menghitung indeks kebahagiaan pada penelitian perspektif sosial digunakan yaitu indikator hubungan sosial dan keharmonisan keluarga yang juga mempengaruhi kebahagiaan di Indonesia tahun 2021. Untuk itu perlu adanya peran pemerintah dalam perencanaan pembangunan dan prasarana yang merata serta menciptakan lingkungan yang nyaman sehingga dapat menciptakan pemenuhan kebutuhan dan kesejahteraan umum atau kebahagiaan di Indonesia.

The purpose of this research is to find out the determination of the happiness index in Indonesia in 2021. The analytical method used in this study is a cross-sectional data regression analysis method in 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2021. The results of this study indicate that the variables of education and social relations have a positive and significant effect on the happiness index in Indonesia. The employment variable, namely the unemployment rate and the family harmony variable, namely the divorce rate, has a negative and significant effect on the happiness index in Indonesia in 2021. Meanwhile, the household health consumption variables and housing and asset conditions have a positive and insignificant effect on the happiness index in Indonesia in 2021. 2021. So that from an economic perspective the happiness index is influenced by education and employment factors. To complement the economic indicators that are generally used in calculating the happiness index in research from a social perspective, indicators of social relations and family harmony are used which also affect happiness in Indonesia in 2021. For this reason, the role of the government is needed in planning development and infrastructure that is equitable and creates a comfortable environment. so as to create fulfillment of needs and general welfare or happiness in Indonesia.
