Vehicle traffic. One of the factors that greatly affect traffic density is the speed function. In this study, the velocity function used is Papageorgiou velocity, a general form of Underwood and Drake velocity. The approximate solution used is the numerical solution of the finite difference method of the Lax-Friedrich scheme, while the characteristic method is used to find the analytical solution. This study simulated the road sections for 60 minutes based on the initial and limit values given. Based on the results of calculations with known initial and boundary conditions, they are proven stable and consistent. While the results of numerical simulations show the trend of changes in density, speed, and flow of vehicle traffic by conditioning the value of the
