Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tiga siklus. RME siklus I berdasarkan hasil tes matematika, RME siklus II berdasarkan hasil tes siklus I, RME siklus III berdasarkan tes siklus II. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) RPP didesain menggunakan model ASSURE dan model RME dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, (2) proses pembelajaran dapat mengaktifkan peserta didik dalam memperhatikan presentasi guru, menjawab pertanyaan guru, bertanya dan diskusi, mengerjakan tugas, (3) instrumen evaluasi menggunakan soal uraian dengan nilai validitas 0,395, reliabilitas 0,698, tingkat kesukaran soal sedang, daya pembeda soal baik, dan (4) hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik yang mencapai KKM 77,78\%, afektif mengalami peningkatan, dan skill meningkat. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, RME, dan tematik ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to improve learning by analyzing and finding out: (1) learning implementation plan that could be implemented into thematic learning using RME model, (2) thematic learning using RME model, (3) implementation of evaluation using RME model, and(4) improvement of learning achievement of grade 4 students.The method used in this study wasa three-phaseclassroom action research cycle. The subjects were teachers and grade 4 students. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis.Results of this study are: (1) learning implementation designed using ASSURE model and RME modelcould (2) learning could enable learners to pay attention to their teacher?s presentations, answer teacher?s questions, asked questions and did discussion, and did tasks, (3) evaluation of instruments usedessay tests with a validity value of 0.395, a reliability of 0.698, an average difficulty level of items, and a well acceptable discrimination power of items, and (4)student cognitive learning achievement reached a minimum completeness criteria of77.78\%, and improvement in both affective and skill domains.
