%X Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu perangkat pembelajaran yang harus disiapkanoleh guru dalam rangka mewujudkan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Saat ini bahanajar yang kurang menarik dan sulit digunakan menjadi masalah dalamprosesbelajar dan mengajar. Peserta didik merasa kurang termotivasi untuk belajar  sehingga hasil belajar mereka rendah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui karakteristik produk bahan ajar tutorial berbasis kooperatif tipeSTAD, menghasilkan produk bahan ajar tutorial berbasis kooperatif tipe STADyang menarik, mudah, bermanfaat, dan menganalisis keefektifan bahanajar  tutorial berbasis kooperatif tipe STAD dalam meningkatkan kemampuan konsepmatematis peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakanpenelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), pengembangan yang dilakukan mengacupada teori Borg & Gall. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VSDNegeri 1 Madukoro, Kecamatan Kotabumi Utara, Kabupaten Lampung Utara, Lampung. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 20 peserta didik. Instrumenpenelitian ini adalah tes. Pengembangan bahan ajar tutorial berbasis kooperatif  tipe STAD diterapkan pada mata pelajaran matematika untuk kelas VSD. Teknikanalisis data efektifitas menggunakan Gain dengan hasil perhitungan 0,7395dengan signifikansi 0,00<0,05. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkanbahwa bahan ajar tutorial berbasis kooperatif tipe STAD memiliki karakteristikvalid dan praktis serta efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahamankonsep matematis peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: Bahan Ajar Tutorial, Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep  Matematis, Kooperatif Tipe STAD    Teaching material is one of the tools for learning that must be prepared by theteachers in order to achieve meaningfull learning process. Nowadays the learningmaterial is not interesting, and sometimes it is dif icult to use, being the probleminteaching and learning process.The students feel less motivated to learn sotheiroutcomes are low. Therefore, this study aims to find out the characteristics of  product from tutorial learning material based on cooperative STAD, producingameaningfull tutorial learning product based on cooperative STADwhichisinteresting, easy, useful, and analyzing the ef ectivity of learning materials toincthe fifth grade students ability in math. This study carries out ResearchandDevelopment (R&D). The development is done based on the theory of Borg&Gall. The population of this study is the fifth grade students at SDNegeri 1Madukoro, Kec. Kotabumi Utara, Kab.Lampung Utara , Lampung. The studyinvolves 20 students. The instrument of this study is the test. The development of  STAD based on cooperative learning is applied in mathematics subject for fifthgrade student. In analyzing the data, Gain is used. The result shows that theN- Gain is 0,7395 with the significant 0,00<0,05. In concluision, tutorial learningmaterial based on cooperative STAD is valid, practical, and ef ective to increasethe ability in understanding mathematics for elementary school fifth gradestudents.
