%X Pengelolaan sampah saat ini sangat membutuhkan perhatian khusus dan serius dari pemerintah dan lembaga terkait. Dinas Lingkungan Hidup adalah dinas terkait yang bertanggung jawab dalam pengelolaan sampah. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh kinerja Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Lampung Barat dan beberapa permasalahan terkait pengelolaan sampah diantaranya : Volume sampah meningkat, kurangnya sarana dan prasarana sampah dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terkait masalah sampah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Lampung Barat dalam pengelolaan sampah. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep kinerja organisasi publik oleh Dwiyanto, dimana terdapat empat variabel dari kinerja organisasi publik, yaitu produktivitas, kualitas layanan, responsivitas dan akuntabilitas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada indikator : (1) Produktivitas belum dikatakan maksimal, karena target capaian pengurangan dan penanganan sampah belum mampu terpenuhi sesuai dengan ketentuan JAKSTRADA. (2) Kualitas Layanan DLH yang diberikan kepada masyarakat belum secara merata dan maksimal, layanan hanya berfokus pada pusat kota. (3) Responsivitas belum maksimal, karena program dan pengembangan belum selaras dengan kebutuhan dan aspirasi masyarakat. (4) Responsibilitas masih sangat buruk, dilihat dari pelaksanaan kegiatan belum sesuai dengan prinsip administrasi atau kebijakan. (5) Akuntabilitas, DLH bertanggung jawab dengan melaporkan seluruh rangkaian pekerjaan pada akhir tahun dengan menyusun Laporan JAKSTRADA. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam pengelolaan sampah belum bisa dikatakan baik dan maksimal hal ini dapat di pahami melalui berbagai indikator yang belum terpenuhi. The Environmental Service is the related agency responsible for waste management. This research was motivated by the performance of the West Lampung Regency Environmental Service and several problems related to waste management, including The volume of waste increased, the lack of waste facilities and infrastructure, and the lack of public awareness regarding waste problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the West Lampung Regency Environmental Service in waste management. This study uses the concept of public organization performance by Dwiyanto, where there are four variables of public organization performance, namely productivity, service quality, responsiveness, and accountability. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques namely through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research show that the indicators: (1) Productivity is not maximized, because the target for waste removal and handling has not been able to meet JAKSTRADA requirements. (2) The quality of DLH services provided to the community is not evenly distributed and maximized, services only focus on the city center. (3) Responsiveness is not maximized, because programs and development are not in line with the needs and aspirations of the community. (4) Responsibility is still very bad, as seen from the implementation of activities that are not by the principles of policy or policy. (5) Accountability, DLH is responsible for reporting the entire work series at the end of the year by compiling the JAKSTRADA Report. From the research results that have been obtained, it can be interpreted that in waste management it cannot be said to be good and maximally this can be understood through various indicators that have not been fulfilled.
