description: This study aims to analyze the income of cocoa farming and pepper farming and  the factors that influence cocoa farmers to switch to pepper farming. The  research location is chosen purposively in Sukadana Baru Village and Surya  Mataram Village, Margatiga Sub-district, East Lampung Regency. Futhermore,  respondents in this study have 32 cocoa farmers and 32 cocoa farmers who  switched to pepper farming taken using random sampling technique. Data were  collected from January to February 2023. Moreover, the research methods used  are income analysis method and logit method. The result shows that cocoa farm  income against total costs was Rp2,055,595.08/ha and pepper farm income  against total costs was Rp13,292,748.37/ha and had an R/C value of more than  one. R/C value of pepper farming is higher at 2.30 and cocoa farming at 1.16.  Then, factors that have a real effect on the decision of cocoa farmers to switch to  pepper farming in Margatiga Subdistrict are age, experience and income  Keywords: cocoa, farm transfer, income, pepper,    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan usahatani kakao dan  usahatani lada dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi petani kakao beralih ke  usahatani lada. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja di Desa Sukadana  Baru dan Desa Surya Mataram Kecamatan Margatiga Kabupaten Lampung Timur.  Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 32 petani kakao dan 32 petani kakao yang  beralih ke usahatani lada diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling.  Pengambilan data dilakukan pada Bulan Januari hingga Februari 2023. Metode  penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode analisis pendapatan dan metode logit.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendapatan usahatani kakao tehadap biaya total  Rp2.055.595,08/ha dan pendapatan usahatani lada terhadap biaya total  Rp13.292.748,37/ha serta memiliki nilai R/C lebih dari satu. R/C usahatani lada  lebih tinggi yaitu 2,30 dan usahatani kakao 1,16. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh  nyata terhadap keputusan petani kakao beralih ke usahatani lada di Kecamatan  Margatiga adalah umur, pengalaman dan pendapatan.
