abstract: Time series is a series of observations of a variable that is collected, recorded, or observed  over  a  period  of  time  in  sequence.  Singular  Spectrum  Analysis  is  a powerful  method  to  analyze  time  series  data  by  decomposing  the  original  time series  data  into  several  small  components  that  can  be  identified  such  as  trend, periodic,  and  noise  components.  One  of  the  data  that  can  be  used  is  data  on  the number  of  train  passengers  in  Sumatra  in  2013-2022.  In  this  study,  the  Singular Spectrum  Analysis  method  is  used  to  forecast  the  number  of  train  passengers  in Sumatra in 2013-2022. The best Singular Spectrum Analysis model in this study was obtained at windows length 22 and the number of groups 8 with MAPE value of 19.55%. Deret  waktu  merupakan  rangkaian  pengamatan  terhadap  suatu  variabel  yang dikumpulkan, dicatat, atau diamati selama kurun waktu tertentu secara berurutan. Singular  Spectrum  Analysis  merupakan  metode  yang  cukup  powerful  untuk menganalisis data deret waktu dengan menguraikan data deret waktu asli menjadi beberapa  komponen  kecil  yang  dapat  diidentifikasi  seperti  komponen  trend, periodik,  dan  noise.  Salah  satu  data  yang  dapat  digunakan  adalah  data  jumlah penumpang  kereta  api  di  Sumatera  tahun  2013-2022.  Pada  penelitian  ini  metode Singular  Spectrum  Analysis  digunakan  untuk  meramalkan  jumlah  penumpang kereta api di Sumatera tahun 2013-2022. Model Singular Spectrum Analysis yang paling  baik  dalam  penelitian  ini  diperoleh  pada  windows  length  22  dan  jumlah grup 8 dengan MAPE sebesar 19.55%.
