abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model POGIL
untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menganalisis peserta didik pada materi sistem
koloid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan pretestposttest
control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta
didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung. Sampel pada penelitian ini
yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 35 peserta didik dan kelas
XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 35 peserta didik. Pengambilan
sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik
analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji kesamaan dua rata-rata dan uji perbedaan
dua rata-rata.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata n-gain keterampilan
menganalisis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,70 sedangkan pada
kelas kontrol sebesar 0,55. Hasil pengujian hipotesis perbedaan dua rata-rata (uji
t) menunjukkan rata-rata n-gain dengan perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan
menganalisis peserta didik di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Selain
itu, rata-rata n-gain kelas eksperimen berkriteria tinggi dan kelas kontrol
berkriteria sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model POGIL efektif untuk
meningkatkan keterampilan menganalisis peserta didik pada materi sistem koloid.

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the POGIL model to
improve students analyzing skills on colloid system material. This study used
quasi experimental method with the pretest-postest control group design. The
population in this study were all students of class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 15
Bandar Lampung. The sample in this study was class XI IPA 1 as the control class
totaling 35 students and class XI IPA 3 as the experimental class totaling 35
students. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. The data
analysis technique used is the two average similarity test, and the n-gain two
average difference test.
The result showed that the n-gain average value of students analyzing
skills in the experimental class was 0,70 while in the control class was 0,55. The
result of testing the hypothesis of he difference between two average (t test)
showed that the average n-gain of students analyzing skills in the experimental
class and the control class was significant. Apart from that, the average n-gain for
the experimental class has high criteria and the control class has medium criteria.
This shows that the POGIL model is effective to improve students analyzing skills
on colloid system material.
