Tujuannya untuk mengetahui peningkatan efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaan discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPAS Kelas IV. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre Experimental Designs dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest desaign. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 114 peserta didik dan sampel berjumlah 28 peserta didik. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji perhitungan efektivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan efektivitas penerapan discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis IPAS kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung sebesar 40,37\% dengan kategori sedang Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, penerapan discovery learning. The problem in this study is the low critical thinking abillity caused by the application of the discovery learning model has not been applied so that the critical thinking abillity of students are still low. The aim is to determine the increase in the effectiveness of the application of the discovery learning model on the critical thinking abillity of science and social studies class IV. The method in this research is Pre Experimental Designs with one group pretest-posttest desaign research design. The population of this study amounted to 114 students and the sample amounted to 28 students. Determination of the research sample using purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is the effectiveness calculation test. The results showed that there was an increase in the effectiveness of the application of discovery learning on the critical thinking abillity of science and social class IV SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung by 40.37\% with a medium category.
