"Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) dijadikan sebagai makanan terpenting ketiga di\r\ndunia dan sumber pendapatan di beberapa negara. Produksi cassava di Provinsi\r\nLampung mengalami penurunan dari tahun 2015 sampai tahun 2019 yang\r\nmenunjukkan bahwa terdapat permasalahan pada usaha tani cassava antara lain\r\npenyakit layu fusarium yang disebabkan oleh jamur Fusarium oxysporum (Fo).\r\nPenggunaan komponen penyeleksi pada medium tanam secara in vivo seperti asam\r\nsalisilat lebih efektif dan efisien dalam menangani penyakit layu fusarium.\r\n\r\nMekanisme ketahanan melalui jalur asam salisilat berhubungan dengan protein-\r\nprotein yang terkait dengan patogenesis (pathogenesis-related proteins/PR proteins)\r\n\r\nseperti kitinase, peroksidase, β- glukanase dan PR-1. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk\r\nmengetahui (1) aktivitas enzim peroksidase pada tanaman cassava hasil pengimbasan\r\nasam salisilat, (2) kandungan karbohidrat pada tanaman cassava hasil pengimbasan\r\nasam salisilat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan\r\nsatu faktor, yaitu penambahan asam salisilat dengan konsentrasi 0 ppm, 80 ppm, 100\r\nppm, 120 ppm dan 140 ppm. Data yang dihasilkan kemudian dianalisis\r\nmenggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan dilakukan uji lanjut dengan Uji\r\nBeda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Cassava production in\r\nLampung Province experienced a decline from 2015 to 2019, which shows that\r\nthere are problems in cassava farming, including fusarium wilt disease caused by\r\nthe fungus Fusarium oxysporum (Fo). The use of selector components in the in\r\nvivo growing medium such as salicylic acid is more effective and efficient in\r\ntreating fusarium wilt disease. The resistance mechanism through the salicylic\r\nacid pathway is related to pathogenesis-related proteins (PR proteins) such as\r\nchitinase, peroxidase, β-glucanase and PR-1. The aim of this research was to\r\ndetermine (1) the activity of the peroxidase enzyme in cassava plants resulting\r\nfrom exposure to salicylic acid, (2) the carbohydrate content in cassava plants\r\nresulting from exposure to salicylic acid. This research used a Completely\r\nRandomized Design (CRD) with one factor, namely the addition of salicylic acid\r\nwith concentrations of 0 ppm, 80 ppm, 100 ppm, 120 ppm and 140 ppm. The\r\nresulting data was then analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and\r\nfurther tested using the Honestly Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5%\r\nlevel.
