"Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) merupakan komoditas pangan penting dan\r\nmenjadi sumber pendapatan di beberapa negara termasuk Indonesia. Indonesia menjadi\r\nnegara penghasil cassava terbesar kedua di Asia dan menempati urutan kelima di dunia.\r\nSelama proses pembudidayaan cassava, petani sering kali mendapat kendala sehingga\r\ndapat menurunkan produktivitasnya. Pengendalian penyakit yang tidak menimbulkan\r\ndampak negatif dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan kultivar unggul yang resisten,\r\nmelalui seleksi dengan penambahan asam salisilat. Ketahanan terhadap penyakit dapat\r\ndiperoleh dengan cara pengimbasan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengetahui\r\nkemurnian dan konsentrasi DNA tanaman cassava hasil pengimbasan asam salisilat\r\ndibandingkan dengan kontrol. (2) Menganalisis pola pita DNA tanaman cassava hasil\r\npengimbasan dengan asam salisilat dan dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Penelitian ini\r\nmenggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor, yaitu konsentrasi\r\nasam salisilat yang dibagi atas 5 taraf, yaitu 0 ppm, 80 ppm, 100 ppm, 120 ppm, dan\r\n140 ppm dengan masing-masing 5 ulangan. Data penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk\r\ndeskriptif komparatif yang didukung oleh foto dan data kuantitatif ditabulasi dengan\r\nkonsentrasi yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) nilai kemurnian DNA\r\ntanaman cassava yang diperoleh dari semua sampel 1,869 – 2,000 dan nilai konsentrasi\r\nDNA 118,1–740,7 ng/μL. (2) Terbentuknya pita DNA baru (spesifik) hasil\r\npengimbasan asam salisilat dengan ukuran 1.100 bp (OPB_14).\r\nKata Kunci : Asam Salisilat, Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz), Induced Resistance,\r\n\r\nPola DNA.\r\n\r\nABSTRACT\r\n\r\nANALYSIS OF DNA PATTERNS IN CASSAVA PLANTS (Manihot esculenta\r\nCrantz) RESULTING FROM INDUCED RESISTANCE WITH\r\n\r\nSALICYLIC ACID\r\n\r\nBy\r\n\r\nENJEL SEPTI VEBRINA\r\n\r\nCassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is an important food commodity and a source of\r\nincome in several countries, including Indonesia. Indonesia is the second largest\r\ncassava producer in Asia and ranks fifth in the world. During the cultivation process,\r\nfarmers often encounter challenges that can reduce productivity. Disease control that\r\ndoes not cause negative impacts can be achieved by using superior cultivars that are\r\nresistant, through selection with the addition of salicylic acid. Disease resistance can\r\nbe obtained through induction. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the\r\npurity and concentration of DNA of cassava plants resulting from exposure to salicylic\r\nacid compared to the control. (2) To analyze the DNA band patterns of cassava plants\r\ninduced with salicylic acid and compare them with the control. This study uses a\r\nCompletely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, which is the concentration of\r\nsalicylic acid divided into 5 levels, 0 ppm, 80 ppm, 100 ppm, 120 ppm, and 140 ppm\r\nwith 5 replications each. The research data is presented in a comparative descriptive\r\nform supported by photos and quantitative data tabulated with different concentrations.\r\nThe results showed (1) The DNA purity values of cassava plants from all samples\r\nranged from 1,869 – 2,000 and the DNA concentration values ranged from 118,1 –\r\n740,7 ng/μL.
